NEW AND EXCITING!
Um....no haven't sold the house yet. But I have been sitting on this one for a while. I didn't want say anything until I had a for sure date......OH NO!...its not a baby...... geez this is all coming out wrong OK, just going to post the link:
Acceptable TVSo....my sister-in-law has been working on this show for.....well a LONG time. And now its going to premiere March 23. Well and you HAVE to watch. Because if you don't like a show, you can vote it out! Its actually an easy concept, but hard for me to explain, you just have to watch. I don't normally like TV comedy, but I can really find this stuff funny, really funny.
Happy Birthday Baby!
Daniel Day 1

Daniel Day 366

Yes they do grow fast! I asked Daniel last night "Hey how about you let me sleep through the night this year, instead of what you did a year ago?" (kicking his way out at 4:30 in the morning!)
Well he was a good boy, but I had a nightmare and woke up.....after not being able to fall back to sleep I looked at the clock, and it was 4:30 am....the same time I woke up last year realizing my water broke! Very strange....I found his pictures from the day he was born on my camera and I teared up.
Not much planned for today. We did buy cupcakes for tonight, but the big birthday bashes are this weekend.
OH NO THEY DIDN'T!
So it’s my own fault really. If you don't want to know what people say in your house....don't record them. However I never thought someone could be so mean and horrible!
Yesterday we had a showing. It wasn't that big of a deal because I was working from home, and the house wasn't in horrible shape. We are putting up new (6 panel) doors on the bedrooms and bathroom, but only one is up. Because of one new door up it looks kind of weird....but did they comment on that? NO! There were some dishes in the sink, and some random items on the spare room bed, but did they comment on that? NO!!!!!!! I left a note excusing the mess and noting that we will be putting up the rest of the doors soon, and NO that is not what the commented on....you want to know what they said?
"Hey come here, look, that cat....its so weird!"
JERKS! YOU DON'T COME IN MY HOUSE AND TALK BAD ABOUT MY CAT!

I have to admit I cracked up when I heard it, but I was still mad. OK, so she has extra toes big freaken deal. Big paws on animals is so cute and apparently many cats find if very attractive. In one apartment we had a cat who would crawl through walls (literally) to watch her at the litter box. My in-laws had to take measures to ensure her safety after a stray cat kept breaking in to see her.
Don't underestimate her either. She is a princess, and has many minions in the stray cat world. Also, she understands human/english very eerily well. When we first brought her home (she used to live with my in-laws) I told her she couldn't go in the bedroom until I saw that she used the litter box because I didn't want her peeing under the bed. What did she do? She turned around and went to the litter box and peed. There are many many other times that she has kind of freaked us out with her understanding of what we are saying. In fact we keep telling her she has to help sell the house and she will get wet food and a
LitterMaid. Normally when strangers are in the house she hides. But she was being good and doing what we asked, and they point and laugh at her.
They only stayed for 2 minutes after declaring it not as good as they thought it would be, good riddance you don't deserve our house! They just better watch their backs…..MEEE OWWW
Friday got better!
Recap from Friday The water went back on early in the afternoon....just after I ran around and melted enough snow to keep the toilet flushed. Worked got crazy around that point too....but by 2 everything had calmed down. I also realized that the house wasn't in to bad of shape....just a few things to put away, vacuum and wipe down the counters, but it was really not as bad as I kept thinking.....which is odd because I was in the house and kept thinking it was horribly messy.
ANYHOO.....around 2pm last Friday I received a package from my book swap buddy! I got two books......I just realized now....a week later they are by the same author....but they look really interested and I can't wait to dig into them. Of course while shopping for my Swap Buddy I had to buy one of the books I got her for myself. I am trying to get that one finished before I start these two:

So Thank you
bookswap pal, you made my day! Oh and they came from Amazon nicely wrapped in pretty green paper, with pretty green ribbon.....and although I don't think that was intended to be part of the "package".... but my cat will have endless fun with that ribbon so she says thank you as well!
OK.....so Friday afternoon we had a showing, and although we have not heard from our realtor, we "understand" that the couple did like the house....while they were here (some of you may realize how we "know"). However they had other houses to look at, so another one may have suited them more. However this time tried really really hard to NOT stress about the showing.....I even went so far as to "gasp" leave something in the sink! I did this just to prove to myself that something can be out of place and its
ok.....I am pretty sure Chad still thinks I am insane though:-)
Oh and to end Friday night, I read bible stories to Daniel on our bed. He was so cute, I was reading the story of Jonah. The part where I told him "he ran away from Nineveh and to a ship"...Daniel's legs started to move. He loved it and we cuddle for a little bit until we both fell asleep:-)
Things not cool about a water main break
I noticed that there wasn't any water flowing from the bathroom sink, and after a call to the city we found out there is a water main break. The following things
occurred to me.
1. I just went to the "bathroom" (y'all know what I mean)
2. Need to do laundry
3. Need to wash bottles
4. I was thinking of making soup for lunch (the kind you add water to)
6. We have a showing this evening and I need to wipe down counters (and see item #2)
4. I got really sick from the last water main break.
7. Did I mention I just went to the "bathroom"?
Luckily we have snow outside and a big deck with patio furniture to collect the snow. So at least I can flush before the showing....and use this to clean with. Chad also reminded me he keeps a jug of water in the fridge so we should be
ok for drinking water.
Fun times:-)
