Happy Anniversary sweetie!
Our Anniversary is today, but since we had plans to come up north this weekend we decided to celebrate last night. First we were going to go out to dinner and then check out the 2 casinos that were recently redone. It was going to be a kind of fancy night. To make it easier we figured that we would leave the house "show ready" on Thursday afternoon go to my In-Laws and drop off the kiddos and go out for our "fancy" night. I was going to be dressed and ready to go at 5.Then we decided that we would both go pick up Daniel as a "surprise" to him ('cause Daddy would be there". However that ended up being to much of a surprise for him and he wanted daddy to carry him most of the way home (the caregiver is only 2 blocks away), and when daddy didn't carry Daniel....Daniel promptly pitched a fit the rest of the way home.
By now we were running late so I decided to change at my In-Laws instead of before. Well, we left during rush hour and I forgot how much longer it would take, so by the time we got there I decided I would just change my shirt and wear sandals instead of shoes. So I wasn't going to dress "fancy" but not just "casual" either.
So we get to my In-Laws and I did change my shirt, made sure the kids were all set up. We usually have to sneak out of their house when we leave Daniel so he doesn't get to upset. Well.....I realized then I forgot to change my shoes.....oh well...."casual" it is....but we were going to at least eat in a restaurant in the casino, and that would be special.
So we get to the casino and the line for one restaurant went halfway around the casino, so we decided against that one. There were 3 others that were more expensive than we were willing to pay. That left us with the casino version of a food court.....at this point we thought it was kind of comical and we were honestly just happy to be out on an adult night, where we ate didn't matter. It was funny how we went to a "fancy" night out....to eating in a food court in tennis shoes.....and loved every minute of it. Because with all the crap we have been dealing with in the past 2 years, Chad and I have done it together, and there is no other person I would want to deal crap with:-)
Happy Anniversary Chad, shuffle up and deal!

Addicted to stumbling

If you haven't "stumbled" you should try it. You can stumble on cool, informative, or just plain goofy websites like this one.

Who serves yogurt at their wedding anyway?
Tim posted this on his blog, and I can't help but share. I don't know which commercials are worse, yogurt or Yaz.Tuesday, May 13, 2008
My dog is hearbroken!
Why is my dog so sad you ask? Because she has been knocked out of first place for the cutest pet on Youpet. She has been tied for the lead for a while now, but she is now in second. She is just beside herself and laying around all day because of this.
What is Youpet you ask? It is a pet social networking site, created by pet lovers for pet lovers. If you have a pet, you can join Youpet. All kinds are included from finicky felines to tone deaf turtles.
If your pets aren't as Internet savvy as mine, you can go into the forums or chat rooms to find help with pet problems. You can even locate owners in your area with the same kind of pet.
Additionally once a week they are giving out a Petco gift card to a randomly selected member!
Of course mostly I want you to go onto Youpet and vote for Belle as the cutest pet (she is currently in second with only 7 votes). She will be anybodies friend (don't expect the same from Tess) and will share her treats:-)

Check out my Slide Show!
Check out pictures from our outing at the zoo (if anyone is uncomfortable with their pictures being displayed here let me know and I will remove:-)Considering how many families (5..10 adults 8 kids) that were involved it worked out really well. We didn't get to see all the exhibits, but it was great to see everyone and their little ones. I think Daniel took the award for biggest fit thrown LOL.
Daniel got a nap in afterward and was good to go for the second half of our day. For Mother's day we went with some of Chad's family to Benihana for dinner. Daniel did pretty well there, he got a little impatient at the end, but what else can you expect from a toddler? We had a great day on Saturday. We had planned to do some yard work on Sunday, however it was cold and rainy all day. So we had a very nice lazy day instead. I even got a nice nap in! It ended up being a perfect weekend:-)

Win something
My Wooden Spoon is having another giveaway for a Kitchenaid Stand Mixer. I am entering. However if I don't win its no big deal because I am going to win a Birkin bag anyway. What's a Birkin bag, you ask? (well I had to ask because I am not hip, rich or with it yo!)....
Well it's a really expensive purse.....like thousands of dollars expensive.
How are you going to win, you ask?
I entered a contest.
How do I know I am going to win, you ask (this setup is getting annoying isn't it?)
I had a dream....seriously it was weird, the night before I entered I had a dream I won a purse and was going to sell it on eBay. However I sold it to a coworker instead. It was odd and totally random. The next morning I was nursing Matthew and flipped on the TV, and the only segment I saw was on how to win a Birkin bag.....when he was done the segment was done and I was all like "Tada"....and I promptly entered.
Do I seriously think my dream meant anything? Well no, but its fun to keep telling Chad I am going to win an expensive purse and THAT is going to solve all of our problems;-) "Don't worry sweetie I am going to win that purse and then we can move."
yes I realize I just completely "jinxed" myself.....but if I did win, would you believe me if I said "oh I had a dream" now if I do win you can say "well it must be true because she told us before"......its all like a catch 22 or something.
