A while back a friend shared one of her parenting secret
"We keep juice pops in the freezer. When the ice cream truck comes by they go to the freezer and get those. They are better for them and less expensive."
She was proud of their trick....and well she should be since that is a good idea. I had to laugh though.....because we haven't had that issue. Because we don't have an ice cream truck in our neighborhood. Instead we have a "dancing truck". Whenever an ice cream truck drives by our boys don't ask for a treat, instead they go out and dance. I think after a while this annoyed the driver....but whatever.
OK....so we are lying parents who lie lie lie.....but I would dance right along with them.
So thanks to a certain yogurt company and their commercial I think the boys have figured out that some trucks (which play music similar to a dancing truck) have ice cream on them.
They did notice last summer that their are pictures on the "truck" but the driver usually zooms past us to fast for them to notice what they are....plus they're dancing. For now they seem to think their are two trucks, they just happen to have one for dancing.
It's been fun, and I am surprised it has lasted this long. But at some point they are going to realize what a big lie we told them.. I would feel guilty....but do you know who I first heard of this trick from? My Mom and Dad! Apparently my older brother was fooled for a while too;-)

LOL...this reminds me of a friend of my mom's. She told her daughter that carnivals were against their religion. It worked until one day her daughter came home from school and said "So&so is Catholic too, and she said carnivals are not against our religion!"
